Estimated: Air 4 (256gb) at $500AUD. Air 5 (64gb) at $600-650. 2018 Pro 11β (256gb) at $650. 2020 Pro 11β (256gb) at 650-700. There are good choices out there. The main concern about an older model is the battery. The CPUs going back to 2018 are all fine for anything you would want to do.
The iPad Pro 12.9 is the ultimate tablet money can buy today. You get a gorgeous design, incredible hardware, vibrant mini-LED screen, excellent onboard audio, and a wide range of accessories.
The usual choice is the iPad Pro (12.9). However, it's very expensive. There is also the new Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which is quite a bit cheaper, considering it also comes with the pen. I'm concerned about the software and the aspect ratio of both tablets. Which would result in the best readability, since sheet music is usually A4. Iβm a bit
I had this exact problem. I was an economics major now studying medicine. Lots of mathematics equation to solve (yes, in medical school as well). I've used both iPad Pro 11" and 12.9" to solve lots of mathematics problems. They both have their pros and cons, but if I HAD to choose one taking into account all of this, I'd choose the iPad Pro 12.9".
Basically with a 12.9 you get 2 ipad minis, 11 inch you basically get 2 pro maxes. Most important for me to go down in size is to reduce my foot print and increase my portability. However, i have a macbook air which is similar size so my opinion may be skewed. The 11 inch is so much easier to wield for notes in my opinion.
This means on the 12.9 you have to move your eyes and reach that much further. The 11 is of course just as powerful as the 12.9, but the screen on the 12.9 has mini led which makes colors pop much more. Still in practice this does not make art on the 11 inch βworse.β.
Otherwise, the 11' iPad Pro is the right choice. It's amazing to read, it's amazing to note taking (you will always have to zoom in and zoom out, even with the 12.9 model) and is ultra portable, super comfortable to handle and read while lying on bed or sitting on a couch. If you have a computer (especially a MacBook) and your plan is to use IKgG.
