P2263 - Focus 1.8 TDCI. I have a 2004 Ford focus 1.8 TDCi. It has about 42k miles on the clock and I know the car's history, it hasn't had a hard life. It is showing the Engine lamp and when I scan the DTCs using Formidable it comes up with P2263, Turbo/SuperCharger Boost performance. Now I have done as much homework as I can on this, I have

Afternoon all, haing spent several hours this morning replacing the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, top gearbox mount and cleaning the sensors I discovered what I assume to be gearbox oil slowly forming/dribbling off the bottom of the box. It must be gearbox oil as the filter and all the oil relate
coming from a 1.6 tdci it will probably feel abit more agricultral, as its an 8v engine and older in terms of design. realiability wise its probably the best out of the diesels, as its a non-DPF engine, other than the common focus mk2 problems the only thing to be aware of for this engine is the DMF, if its not been changed already it might be worn out, signs are vibrations or rattling noises

Just purchased a 2006 1.8 TDCi Sport, bought this as a cheap get me to work unit, christ they are a crude engine it does the job and not too bad on fuel but if I had one of these from new I wouldn't be a happy bunny. Very tractor like and not refined at all.
