Hi - I'm trying to decide between the 1.4 and 2.0 TSI engine for our new Kodiaq The 2.0 is coming out at approximately £1k more, which I'm happy to pay for the extra power. However, the few reviews I've read on the 2.0 TSI refer to poorer fuel economy when compared to the 1.4, and that this isn't expected to be a popular engine.

If you want 'oomph' then the 1.4 TSI 150PS or the new 1.5 TSI 150PS isn't the best choice. Go for the 2.0 TSI 180PS if you want petrol. I have the 1.4 TSI and it does everything I need of it very well indeed.
